COMBINING DESIGN, NATURE, AND PLAY

Having spent 9+ years running my own business, I knew that my next career would need to be something that could capitalize on the great many skills I had acquired over those years. Little did I know that just around the corner laid what is quite possibly the coolest industry I had never even considered before, Playgrounds.

Initially, PlayIt Creations at the time had only been looking for a 3D Modeler to assist with building and modernizing their mostly 2D Catalog of custom, hand-sculpted, nature themed playground designs. Yet when they came across my resume and application, they immediately recognized the immense value I could bring to the table for them in not just Design, but Sales & Marketing too.

Within the first year, I found myself thrust into the driver's seat for all things Design. My biggest task was modernizing and updating thousands of product files that were tied to old branding, archaic fabrication methods, inconsistent file naming, diverging technical documents, and very little 3D models.

On top of that, I eventually found myself leading a small team of salespeople and designers, coordinating projects designs, new product development, marketing efforts, and custom product creation. All the while driving continual improvement in the production processes to make things not just more efficient and cost-effective but also of a higher quality output in our sculpts & painting as well.

I love this industry and I love creating new ways for Kids to experience fun & adventure in the great outdoors while simultaneously staying cost-effective and incredibly efficient with materials & time.
